TfL launches scheme to drive transition to low-emission vehicles

Transport for London (TfL) has launched a five-year scheme, LoCITY, to encourage the freight industry to adopt low-emission trucks and vans.

The LoCITY programme will see vehicle operators, manufacturers, fuel providers and the public sector collaborate to develop new environmental operating standards and contractual clauses for procurement bodies to adopt.

The scheme will also aim to demonstrate that the use of low-emission vehicles does not negatively impact freight operations.
