According to new information from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), over 22,000 new trucks (6-tonne GVW or more) were registered in the first nine months of this year.
This is down 23.4% on last year’s total for the same period. However it does represent an improvement on the first and second quarter year-to-date totals.
There were a total of 4,795 registrations during September, down only 9.4 per cent on September 2013.
