New forms of ID to be accepted for Driver CPC training

From 26 September, drivers will be able to use their Driver Qualification Card (DQC) or digital tachograph card as ID for Driver CPC training.

The changes come into force 16 days after the Driver CPC deadline on Wednesday 10 September, and have been welcomed by industry leaders – however some have been calling for the change since Driver CPC was introduced.

According to the FTA, the changes will allow those drivers who had their licences held by the DVLA for a medical review to use another form of identification for their classroom-based training.
