C M Downton Ltd has made significant investments in Marketing to attract more females and young people into the industry.

With a rising media interest in the skills shortage surrounding the industry, BBC News Digital Reporter Mario Cacciottolo visited the firm’s headquarters to meet with HGV Apprentice Leonie John, Downton’s first female apprentice.

Accompanying Leonie on the ‘Donnington Run’, Mario discussed Leonie’s life on the road as a female lorry driver and her transition from Hairdresser to HGV Driver.
