Leading industry bodies to collaborate to tackle skills shortage

Four leading industry bodies have agreed to work together to tackle the skills shortage currently faced by the logistics sector. 

The Freight Transport Association, Road Haulage Association, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Institute of Road Transport Engineers have joined forces in a bid to promote the logistics industry to attract new talent. 

In a statement, FTA chief executive David Wells highlighted the need to attract young people, ethnic minorities and women into the industry.
