Fuel duty will be frozen until 2015, says Chancellor

Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has said that he will be freezing fuel duty for the rest of the current parliament – providing he can find the savings to pay for it.

The announcement follows hints from David Cameron in April that further duty rises would be scrapped – although this was neither confirmed or denied at the time.
