FTA calls for stricter enforcement of non-UK LEZ fines

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has demanded that Transport for London (TfL) do more to police the payment of fines issued to non-UK registered vehicles for breaching the terms of the London Low Emission Zone. 

The FTA wants TfL to make the system fairer for compliant UK operators.  Figures obtained from a Freedom of Information request made by Motor Transport revealed that of the 21,588 PCNs issued to non-UK registered vehicles between 1 January 2014 and 30 June 2015, 55 per cent are still unpaid.
