It has been announced that Transport for London’s Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is to be rolled out nationwide from January next year.
The scheme promotes cycle safety measures and equipment, and has to-date been solely London-focused. Following a tendering process earlier this year, however, it will be extended to the rest of the UK and run by a private company.
Despite London being the focus of the scheme so far, two-thirds of the 2,200+ accredited operators are based outside the M25.
