- We have a dedicated team to deliver MRI scanners to hospitals outside of normal working hours. Our highly trained and experienced team sets up these complex facilities in the evening so that patients can receive immediate diagnostic services the following day.
- We collect ink from Europe and deliver it to print sites across the country using our sophisticated computerised tankers, again managed by our own specialist team. Our customers do not even need to place an order - bulk tank sensors send a pulse to Downton and our supplier automatically, and we deliver a refill without the client needing to lift a finger!
- We can take up to 50 containers a day from Malaysia and have them barcoded, palletised and made available to UK distributors in less than 24 hours.
- We deliver to 260 retail stores across the UK every single night.
- It is not untypical for us to deliver 1,000 trailers per day across the country. For each one, we deliver within a window of 15 minutes.
- We are the largest distributor of physical magazines in Britain.
- The Downton family are still very much involved in every facet of the business. Founder Conrad Downton's children - Andrew, Richard, John and Kate - are the driving force behind the service culture of the organisation, and deal directly with clients on a day-to-day basis.
