On Saturday 20th August, Health & Safety Coordinator Craig Dixon led former Sapa Manager Sharon Hobson, and HGV Driver Graeme McKinnon across 13 miles of obstacles at Cirencester Park in the Tough Mudder South West challenge.
#TeamDownton raised over £600 for their participation in Tough Mudder South West, and this is just one of many challenges that the company has embraced as part of their £10,000 pledge to Cancer Research UK.
With 10-12 miles of mud and obstacles created by specialist course engineers, designed to test physical strength, stamina, and mental grit it’s no surprise that Tough Mudder is dubbed as one of the toughest events on the planet.
Health & Safety Coordinator Craig Dixon is familiar with physical challengers as a former military personnel. Craig says “it doesn’t matter how much training you do, nothing can prepare you for the obstacles you face. There’s no better feeling than beating your fear and making it through to the end. I’m so proud of #TeamDownton for pushing our limits and crossing that finish line!”
