Confidence on the rise for logistics firms, suggests survey

The latest figures from the Logistics Confidence Index, compiled for Barclays and Grant Thornton UK, has shown significant increase in confidence in future business prospects among logistics operators over the past six months. 

The industry was cautiously optimistic about business conditions in the first half of 2013, according to the Analytiqa-run six-monthly survey of 100 senior managers of UK logistics firms. The overall confidence index currently stands at 60.3 – a significant rise on the 52.5 recorded six months ago.
