Commercial vehicle registrations return to pre-recession levels  

The latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) shows that UK van sales increased by 11 per cent in 2014 to 363,155 units – its highest level since 2007. 

However, the sale of trucks has continued to decline, with registrations down by 26 per cent for the year. This is due in part to the introduction of Euro 6 engine emission limits and new type approval legislation, says the SMMT.
