The commercial vehicle market has grown 19 per cent during the first nine months of 2015 compared to last year, according to data released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Artics demonstrated the strongest growth, up 45 per cent on 2014. Truck registrations increased by 35.6 per cent and van registrations by 19.2 per cent.
DAF Trucks remained the market leader for trucks over six tonnes with a 26 per cent share, followed by Mercedes with 17.5 per cent. Meanwhile, Scania showed the biggest year on year increase, up more than two thirds on 2014.
DAF, Scania and Volvo all increased their market shares, according to the figures.
