All 1,800 longer semi-trailers now allocated

According to the Department for Transport (DfT) all 1,800 allocations for longer semi-trailers have been made. This follows the news in August that 400 were yet to be claimed as operators had returned allocations.  

This now means the full trial complement should be in operation on UK roads nearly three years after the start of the trial in 2012.
