2014 sees a slow start for new truck registrations

According to information from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the first two months of this year saw registrations of new trucks of 6- onnes GVW or more drop by 37.9 per cent on the same figures from last year.

The 2,652 registrations make it the second slowest start to a year ever recorded. The market for trucks weighing 6 tonnes or more is however forecast to be between 36,000 to 42,000 registrations suggesting this slow start is set to pick up pace.
